Seerah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

What is Seerah?
 The linguistic meaning of Seerah is path. How Prophet Muhammad ﷺ lived his life from beginning to end, is his seerah.

What made Ahmed, Muhammad ﷺ:
  •  Hardships, Patience, Compassion, tolerance
    •  Lost Father before birth
    •  Lost Mother in childhood, followed by death of beloved Grandfather
    •  Faced hatred from non-believers of Mecca, even murder attempts
    •  Stoning by people
    •  Yet always practiced forgiveness
  • Patience, compassion, tolerance lead to sound judgement
    • People used to see his help for solving their tribal quarrels
  • Practiced ultimate honesty in the society
    • People named him “Saadiq” and “Ameen” (truthful and keeper)
  • Established his character in the society for 20+ years before announcing the message of Allah
Experiences in Prophet Muhammad ﷺ's life:
  • Being an orphan brought kindness and made him sensitive to the people who are weak and vulnerable
  • Being a Shepherd taught him patience and gave him time to think, reflect, and consider
  • Being a merchant taught him how different people’s characteristics in financial transactions. It also taught him how to interact and deal with others of different characters and opinions 
Lessons from Seerah:
  • We learn lessons and morals from that help us in our lives today
  • Prophet Muhammad ﷺ’s life is an example for us to follow, therefore we should attain the same attributes and practice the same principles
  • Without Seerah Humanity would not have known how to be an ideal Muslim and an ideal human being
  • The outreach of the message of Quran couldn’t be achieved without his Seerah. His ﷺ seerah is a seal that this message may be followed!
  • We need to practice Seerah to become role models for our peers and family
  • Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was the most beloved prophet of Allah and if He wanted, He could have given him all of luxuries of the world
  • Allah put Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through the mill of challenges to show believers that ﷺ lived the life of a common man
