Books Of Revelation

What is a Revelation?

The mode of message by Allah to mankind is through His prophets. Allah communicated His message through Angel Gabriel (Jibreel). Allah has sent guidance through His Prophets and Messengers. Among them, only a few brought books of revelation:

  •  Hazrat Esa (Jesus) AS – Gospel/Bible
  •  Hazrat Dawood (David) AS – Psalms of David (AS)
  •  Hazrat Musa (Moses) AS – Torah
  •  Hazrat Ibrahim (Abraham) AS – Scrolls of Abraham (AS)
  •  Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ - Quran

We believe in all four of these books however, the Scrolls of Abraham has been lost due to the passage of time and there is no preserved text. Although it is still a book of revelation that most people do not know about!

Quran on Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

The Holy Quran was revealed in the Arabic language to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in the 7th century C.E. It was compiled during the lifetime of the Prophet and remains in its original form. There are 114 chapters with various themes describing God's nature, guidance for daily living, stories from history and their moral messages, inspiration for believers, and warnings for disbelievers

Gospel of Jesus (Injeel)

Hazrat Esa (AS) is an honored prophet of Allah. The revelations given to him were conveyed and shared among his disciples orally. Hazrat Esa (AS) preached about monotheism and how to live a righteous life. The revelation given to him by Allah is known as the “Injeel” (Gospel/Bible). Unfortunately, Hazrat Esa (AS) pure message has been lost and mixed with other misleading facts about his life and teachings

Psalms of David (Zabur)

The Psalms were revealed to Prophet Dawood (David) AS. It mentions in the Quran, “…and We preferred some of the prophets above others, and to David We gave the Psalms”. [Surah Isra, Ch. 17., Verse 55]. Not much is known about these revelations, however we know that the Psalms were recited like poetry or hymns

Torah of Moses (Tawrat)

The Torah was revealed to Prophet Musa (Moses) AS. It includes the teachings about monotheism, righteous living, and religious law. Unfortunately, the exact revelation has not been preserved and the message of the Torah has been changed over time. The Quran states: “It is He Who sent down to you, in truth, the Book, confirming what went before it. And He sent down the Law [of Moses] and the Gospel [of Jesus] before this, as a guide to mankind. And He sent down the criterion [of judgment between right and wrong]” (3:3)

Scrolls of Abraham (Suhuf)

The Quran mentions a revelation called Suhuf Ibrahim or Scrolls of Abraham: “Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, the Books of Abraham and Moses” [Surah A’la, Ch. 87, Verse 18-19]. Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and his scribes/followers used to write down the revelations Allah sent to him. This holy book is lost forever due to the passage of time

Role of Women in Islam

Importance of a Muslim Girl: When a Muslim girl is born, she becomes a reason for her parents to enter paradise When a Muslim girl becomes a wife, she completes half of her husband’s Deen When a Muslim girl becomes a mother, paradise is beneath her feet In Islam, we always talk about Prophets or companions who dedicated their entire lives to Islam and spreading Allah’s message. But what about their wives and daughters? We should also look into women’s lives of that time period. Women gave the same amount of contribution to Islam as Men did. These women are role models for young girls. They were the most pious and pure women. Allah loved them and rewarded them with Jannah (Heaven) The Greatest Muslim Women: Hazrat Khadija (RA) - Wife of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ  Hazrat Fatimah (RA) - Daughter of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ + Khadija (RA)  Hazrat Aisha (RA) - Wife of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ who recorded the most amount of Hadith we read today! Hazrat Asiya (RA) - Pharaoh's Wife who took care of Pro...

Miracles of Hazrat Esa (AS)

Hazrat Esa (AS): Prophet Esa (AS) was a very special Prophet and Messenger who was given miracles by Allah He was given the miracle to speak when he was only a baby, giving life to the dead, healing the blind and ones who were infected with leprosy Purpose of Miracles: Most prophets were given miracles to prove the existence of Allah and to disprove the disbelievers of accusations against their prophets We must remember that miracles were not superpowers of the prophets, they were given by Allah to them and were only performed by His will Quranic Verses: “A man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through him in your midst.” (Quran 2:22) “I bring to life the dead, by the permission of God.” (Quran 3:49) “I create for you out of clay the likeness of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird with God’s permission.” (Quran 3:49) Why these miracles? Prophet Esa (AS) and the Bible preaches about compassion. By giving Prophet Esa (AS) the ...

Signs of Prophets

Here are some signs of Prophets present today: Pyramids   “And Pharaoh said, "O eminent ones, I have not known you to have a god other than me. Then ignite for me, O Haman, [a fire] upon the clay and make for me a tower that I may look at the God of Moses. And indeed, I do think he is among the liars."” (Quran 28:38) The Quran predicted the formation of the Pyramids in Egypt, and the fact they still exist signifies the existence of Prophets Preservation of Pharaoh’s Body The preservation of the Pharaoh’s body is a sign for the disbelievers due to the story of Moses (Musa) AS and the splitting of the sea The Pharaoh mentioned in the Quran is a strict disbeliever and had no faith or belief in Allah (SWT) Once Musa (AS) split the sea to save the Israelites (a group of people who were being tortured under the Pharaoh’s rule), the Pharaoh followed but was too late and drowned once the sea closed up again Right before he died, he proclaimed his belief in Allah however it was reje...
